Mobility Budget

The mobility budget gives you extra funds to enjoy sustainable travel with your 3-country pass during your free time. You can use it to extend your journey beyond the included area of the 3-country pass, book car-sharing services, or purchase tickets for family members such as your partner or children. It’s a flexible way to make the most of shared, eco-friendly mobility — tailored to your personal needs.

Depending on where you live, the mobility budget is provided by different partners:

• For residents of Switzerland and Liechtenstein, it’s offered by RekaRail.

• For residents of Austria and Germany, it comes from VMOBIL Mobilitätsplus.

The validity period depends on your country of residence:

• Switzerland: No expiration

• Liechtenstein: No expiration

• Austria: Valid for 12 months

• Germany: Valid for 12 months

In Switzerland, the mobility budget is provided as Reka-Rail+, a dedicated payment method accepted by numerous providers offering climate-friendly mobility services.

What can I use Reka-Rail+ for? With Reka-Rail+, you can conveniently pay for:

• Train tickets and public transport passes all over Switzerland

• Tickets for mountain railways and boat rides all over Switzerland

• Electric vehicle charging at various charging stations

• Bike-sharing and car-sharing services all over Switzerland

Validity: The Reka-Rail+ credit has no expiration date.

How do I receive it? Once you activate your 3-Länder-Abo in the my-mo portal, you’ll receive a letter from Reka Rail containing instructions on how to activate and use your mobility budget.

For Austrian and German employees, the mobility budget is made available through VMOBIL, allowing you to flexibly combine various elements in the my-mo app.

What can I use the VMOBIL mobility budget for?

With your VMOBIL Mobilität-Plus budget, you can benefit from:

• VMOBIL Bike Box: Depending on your card type, you’ll receive a budget valid for up to 12 months of Bike Box use.

• caruso Carsharing: Receive a budget that can be used as driving credit with caruso.

• FAIRTIQ Credit: Get a FAIRTIQ travel credit—which you can also share with others.

Validity: The validity of each voucher is linked to your 3-Länder-Abo and is limited to its active period (up to 12 months).

How do I receive it? While activating your 3-Länder-Abo in the my-mo app, the allocation of the Mobilität-Plus budget to the offers can be selected in the my-mo app. Afterwards you’ll need to register at https://kundenportal.vmobil.at/login to activate and use your mobility budget.

You can easily cancel your current subscription with Ostwind or VMobil and switch to the 3-Länder-Abo, which you can combine with your mobility budget.
